The Content Marketing Awards

ABOUT

The Content Marketing Awards are presented and owned by the Content Marketing Institute to recognize and award the best content marketing projects, agencies and marketers in the industry each year. The 2016 Content Marketing Awards include 76 categories recognizing all aspects of content marketing, from strategy to distribution, from design to editorial. The Content Marketing Awards is the largest international content marketing awards program.

 

HISTORY

The CMAs were launched in 2004 as the Magnum Opus Awards. The program was conducted jointly, by the Content Marketing Institute and McMurry/TMG from 2011-2014. In 2013, the awards program was renamed and rebranded to match the changing industry, presented by the Content Marketing Institute and sponsored by McMurry/TMG.  In December 2014, Content Marketing Institute announced their acquisition of the Content Marketing Awards and beginning in 2015, CMI began producing the prestigious awards program.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all companies, organizations and institutions that create content marketing, branded or custom content, in print or electronic form.

Entries must have been created in calendar year 2015 to qualify for the 2016 awards. If entries were created in 2015 but not “published” or distributed until 2016, they still qualify.

Publications and websites created by media companies purely for consumer consumption are not eligible—nor are entries created by Content Marketing Institute, the parent company of the awards program, or any awards sponsors.

Individual category finalists and winners will be announced in July 2016, at which time each category winner will have a chance to win the overall Project of the Year. Additionally, each entrant also had the ability to nominate their agency for Agency of the Year. Individual category winners will be announced on July 20, 2016.

The Project, Agency, and Content Marketer of the Year will all be announced at a live awards ceremony at Content Marketing World in Cleveland on September 8, 2016. Join us!

Call for Entries for next year will open in February of 2017.

 

AGENCY OF THE YEAR (less than 100 employees)

Presented to the agency, with less than 100 employees, that has distinguished itself by creating content marketing that serves as a showcase for the entire industry, announced at Content Marketing World 2016. The Agency of the Year recognition by the Content Marketing Institute is, perhaps, the greatest award honor a content marketing agency can achieve. The judges look at the agency’s projects and performance over the past year, as well as the innovation behind consistent multi-platform publishing. To qualify for Agency of the Year, you must submit at least one project submission and complete the agency nomination information on the entry form. Here are the finalists for the 2015 Agency of the Year (100+ Employees) presented at Content Marketing World 2015. There is a $250 fee to nominate your agency.

 

AGENCY OF THE YEAR (100+ employees)

Presented to the agency, with more than 100 employees, that has distinguished itself by creating content marketing that serves as a showcase for the entire industry, announced at Content Marketing World 2016. PROJECT OF THE YEAR

All projects will be eligible for the 2016 Content Marketing Awards Project of the Year – the overall best project from thousands of submissions. The Content Marketing Project of the Year award is like winning the Oscar for Best Picture – it simply cannot get any better. The CMA judges look at the finalists in every one of the 76 categories to decide which content marketing project was the “best of the best”. CONTENT MARKETER OF THE YEAR

The Content Marketing Awards – Marketer of the Year is a special recognition from the Content Marketing Institute. Each year, CMI looks at the great work brand marketers are doing in content marketing. We then compile a short list of the “best of the best” and choose a winner that stood above the rest in content marketing during those 12 months.
